Define a custom role that includes only the permissions that are required for in-place restores of VMs.
Procedure
Perform the following steps from the Command Center:

From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Security.
The Security page appears.

Click the Roles tile.
The Roles page appears.

In the upper-right area of the page, click Add role.

In the Name box, enter a descriptive name for the role (for example, VM Owner).

Under the Client category, select the check boxes for the following permissions:

Agent Scheduling
-
Data Protection/Management Operations
-
Browse
-
In Place Recover
-
Out-of-Place Recover
-
In Place Full Machine Recovery
-
-
Click Save.
The Roles page appears.

To make the new role available for assignment to tenant users, perform the following steps:

Click the new role.
The Edit role dialog box appears.

Select the Visible to all check box.

Click Save.
