For each hypervisor that a tenant company uses, deploy at least one access node (VSA proxy) by installing the Virtual Server Agent (VSA) software package. You can deploy additional access nodes as needed to handle the planned workload and to provide load balancing.
In a fully managed environment, the service provider configures access nodes for the tenant.
Before You Begin
Download the installation package that was created for the tenant company and copy it to the machine where the package will be installed.
Procedure

Using administrator credentials, log on to the machine where you are installing the VSA package.

Run the WinX64.exe installation file.

Enter a destination folder (for example, C:\Program Files\Commvault\installer), and then click Extract.

Choose the language, and then click >.

Select I Agree, and then click >.

Select Install packages on this computer, and then click >.

Select Virtualization > Virtual Server, and then click >.

Enter the installation path, click >, and then click > again.

Select Configure Communication services.

Select This machine can open connection to CommServe on tunnel port.

Click >.
-
Accept the client name and host name, and then click >.

Enter your CommServe client name and the fully qualified hostname, and then click >.

Leave the CommServe HTTP/HTTPS tunnel port number as 8403 (the default value), and then click >.

If no HTTP proxy is required to access the CommServe host, you can skip the HTTP proxy information and click > to continue.

To skip providing a per-client certificate, click >.

Select Enter Authcode, enter the authcode for the tenant company configuration, and then click >.

Skip plan selection and click > to continue.

Click Finish.
The VSA is registered with the CommServe system with the tenant as owner.
