Modifying an Amazon RDS Instance Configuration

You can modify a list of regions that are displayed when the backup content of an instance group is defined. In addition, you can modify the list of access nodes that have access to an instance.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The Instances page appears.

  2. On the Instances tab, from the View list beside Instances, select Cloud DB.

    The Instances page for cloud databases appears.

  3. Click the instance.

    The instance page appears.

  4. To modify the list of regions that are displayed when the Backup content of an instance group is defined, in the Settings section on the Configuration tab, click Edit and select the regions.

    If you do not define a list of regions, all regions are displayed when the Backup content of an instance group is being defined. For more information about creating instance groups, see Creating an Instance Group to Back Up Specific Instances.

  5. To modify the list of access nodes that have the necessary permissions to run backup operations and restore operations, complete the following steps:

    1. In the Access node section on the Configuration tab, click Add.

      The Add access node dialog box appears.

    2. Select or clear the check boxes in the Access node groups and the Access nodes sections to define the list of access nodes.

  6. Click OK.
