As the data volume on an Index server node increases over time, to avoid possible slowdowns and errors on the servers, you can monitor the performance, usage, and health of the node.
You can also monitor the search activity on the Web Server that is associated with the Index Server.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure.
The Infrastructure page appears.

Click the Index servers tile.
The Index servers page appears.
Index Server Clouds are not available on the Index servers page.

In the Name column, click the Index Server.
The Index Server properties page appears.

To review the health of a node, in the Nodes section, hover on the Health column.
The column indicates the health status of a node using a value - Good, Warning, or Critical, and also provides appropriate action that you can take when you hover over the value.

View metrics and usage information:

To view the search activity on the Web Server, on the Metrics tab, click Search activity.

To view performance information for the nodes, on the Metrics tab, click Performance.

To view usage information, click the Usage tab.
