Adding a Credential to a CyberArk Credential Vault

You can add a credential to access:

  • a network drive that you want to assign as a mount path to a disk library or a cloud library

  • a file server

  • a database server

  • a virtualization hypervisor

Procedure

  1. On the CommCell Console ribbon, in the Home tab, click Control Panel.

  2. In the Control Panel dialog box, in the User group, click Credential Vault.

  3. In the Manage Credentials tab, click Add.

    The Add credential dialog box appears.

  4. On the General tab, in the Username box, enter a username for the credential.

  5. In the Address box, enter the IP address of fully qualified domain name.

  6. From the Platform ID list, select the required platform ID.

    The Platform ID corresponds to the type of platform or system for which the credential is being created.

  7. From the Safe list, select the required safe where you want to add the new credential.

  8. (Optional) Using the Folder option, select or create a folder within the safe to organize the account.

  9. (Optional) In the Object box, enter the name of the object that stores the credentials.

  10. In the Description text box, enter a description for the credential and click OK.
