Adding Simple Strategy Keyspaces to a Cassandra Subclient

When you add keyspaces that have the Simple Strategy replication factor to an existing Cassandra cluster., add the keyspaces to an existing subclient that contains keyspaces so that you can protect the data.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Console, expand Client Computers > client > Big Data Apps.

2. Right-click the instance, and then click Properties.

   The Subclient Properties dialog box appears.

3. On the Cassandra Contents tab, click Browse.

   The Contents of Subclient box displays the keyspaces that are in the subclient.

   The Cassandra Browse dialog box appears.

   The Contents of Subclient box displays the keyspaces that are in the subclient.

4. Expand the SimpleStrategy check box, and then select the check boxes for the keyspaces that you want to add to the subclient.

5. Click OK.

Result

The keyspaces are now part of the subclient content. The next backup that you perform will contain the keyspaces.
