Assigning Users to User Groups from CommCell Users

You can add users to user groups so that properties selected for the user group apply to all of the users in the group. For example, the security associations you configure for a user group apply to all of the users in the group. If a user belongs to multiple user groups, the security associations from each group are applied to the user.

Note

If you have an Active Directory (AD) domain configured in your CommCell environment, you can associate the participating AD users to a user group.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Security > CommCell Users.

  2. Right-click the user and click Properties.

The User Properties dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click the User Groups tab.

  4. Assign users to the user group by moving user groups from the Available Groups list to the Member Groups list.

    Tip

If you do not see the user group you need, click Create New User Group.

  5. Click OK.
