Browse and Restore from a Job associated with a Copy

You can browse and restore from a job associated with a copy.

Applies To

Primary Copy, Synchronous Copy, Selective Copy, Snapshot Copy, Spool Copy, Parallel Copy, Inline Copy, Deferred Copy, and WORM Copy

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies | Storage Policies | <Storage Policy>

2. Right-click the appropriate storage policy copy, point to View and then click Jobs.

3. In the Job Filter for Storage Policy dialog box, clear the Specify Time Range check box, click OK.

4. Right-click the appropriate job, and then click Browse and Restore.

5. In the Browse and Restore Options dialog box, click View Content.

6. In the right pane of the Browse window, click the <Instance>, select all the entities and then click Restore All Selected.

7. In the Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box, specify the following settings, and then click OK.

   1. Clear the Overwrite Files and Restore to same folder check boxes.

   2. In the Specify the destination path box, enter the restore location.

      This will ensure that the existing files are not overwritten.
