Configuring a Drive Pool

  1. Display the Expert Storage Configuration window.

  2. Detect the devices for the MediaAgent whose Drive Pool you wish to configure, as described in Device Detection.

    All the devices attached to the selected MediaAgent are displayed in the Expert Storage Configuration window

  3. Configure the Master Drive Pool to which the drive pool that you want to configure is attached. For more information, see Configuring a Master Drive Pool.

  4. In the Expert Storage Configuration window, right-click the drive pool that you want to configure, and then click Configure.

  5. A prompt appears, asking if you are sure that you want to configure the drive pool. Click Yes to continue with the configuration.

  6. A prompt appears, asking if you want to configure all of the drives within the drive pool. If you want to configure the drives individually, click No. Otherwise, click Yes.

    The configuration status of the drive pool changes to configured.

    Note

    You can modify the name of the drive pool after it is configured.
