You can launch the Commvault plug-in from within the vSphere Client.
Note
-
Because of a change introduced by Google in Chrome 84, logging on to Commvault from vSphere fails when you use Chrome 84 or 85.
-
You can also use the Commvault plug-in with Microsoft Edge, although VMware does not recommend the use of Edge in vSphere.
Before You Begin
For production environments, obtain a CA-signed certificate for the Command Center.
Procedure
-
From the vSphere Client menu, select Shortcuts.
-
Click the Commvault icon.
The Command Center opens.
-
If you are using a self-signed certificate for the Command Center in a test environment, perform the following steps to launch the plug-in:
-
Open a new browser tab, and then access the Command Center using the URL format https://ip_address/adminconsole.
-
After bypassing the security warning, re-open the vSphere Client, and then re-open the Commvault plug-in.
