Windows File System Agent
The Change Journal scan method is not supported on Resilient File System (ReFS) volumes on Windows Server computers. The Recursive Scan or Optimized Scan method is used to back up data.
Restore from Deduplicated Volumes
Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, and Windows Server 2019 have a deduplication feature that can be enabled. Data, including the Windows deduplication data, from deduplicated volumes is backed up in its original state (uncompressed). Before performing a restore, verify that there is enough storage space on the volume to restore the full data size.
