The stand-alone version of the CommCell Console can be run either locally from the CommServe computer or remotely on a client computer. The CommCell Console is automatically installed during the CommServe installation. To access the CommCell Console as a stand-alone application, verify the following:

The version of the CommCell Console you are using is the same version as the CommServe.

The CommCell Console release level must be the same as the CommServe release level. Otherwise, the CommCell Console must be run as a remote application. For more information about connecting to the CommCell Console remotely from any computer, see Opening the CommCell Console with a JAR File.
Procedure

Log on to the computer that has the CommCell Console (stand-alone application version) installed.

Launch the CommCell Console based on the operating system:

The Connect to CommCell window appears.

Do any one of the following:

To log on with basic authentication, do the following:

In the User Name or Email box, enter the user name or the email address associated with your CommCell account.

In the Password box, enter the password for your CommCell account.

In the CommCell box, enter the name of the CommCell environment that you want to connect to.

Click OK.

To log on with a browser when modern authentication protocol (such as SAML or Okta) is configured in your CommCell environment, do the following:

In the CommCell box, enter the name of the CommCell environment that you want to connect to.

Click Login with command center.
The login page for the Command Center appears in a browser. If there is an active login session, the browser automatically signs you in.

In the User Name or Email box, enter the user name or the email address associated with your CommCell account, and then click Continue.

In the Password box, enter the password for your CommCell account.
If additional authentication options (such as PIN or security key) appear, follow the instructions.
The CommCell Console appears.
