You can use Commvault software to create copies of Oracle database backups stored in an Oracle Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance.
Setup consists of installing Commvault client software on each RAC node in the Recovery Appliance, setting up the correct network, and setting up the CommServe host for Oracle RAC. The setup procedure is slightly different from the usual Commvault Oracle configuration since the CommServe computer and the Media Agent do not have direct communication with the target database. Commvault software is installed on the Recovery Appliance and no client software exists on the target database computer.
After creating the client, you will not be able to modify any subclients to specify a different data set, since the target database does not have Commvault software installed for access to the database.
If the target database is a single instance database, it must still be set up for each of the Recovery Appliance nodes.
