Restoring Cryptocurrency Wallets for Laptop Backup

You can restore backed-up cryptocurrency wallet to the same laptop or to a different laptop.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Console, expand Client Computers > client > File System > backup set.

  2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

    The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

  3. Click View Content.

  4. Browse for the cryptocurrency wallet that you want to restore.

  5. Select the check boxes for the cryptocurrency wallet that you want to restore, and then click Recover All Selected.

    The Restore Options dialog box appears.

  6. On the General tab, complete the following steps:

    1. From the Destination Client list, select the laptop where you want to restore the cryptocurrency wallet.

    2. To restore cryptocurrency wallet to the folder from where it was backed up, select the Restore to original folder check box.

      To enter a new path in the Destination path box, clear this check box.

    3. If you cleared the Restore to original folder check box, for the Destination path, click Browse to choose a folder or to create a new folder.

      The cryptocurrency wallet is restored to the folder that you choose or create.

      Note

      After the out-of-place restore completes, import the wallet file to the Bitcoin Core application.

  7. On the Job Initiation tab, choose how you want to initiate the restore jobs.

  8. Click OK.
