Service Provider Licensing and Billing for Virtualization

Updated

Virtualization license usage is calculated depending on whether you purchased a capacity-based or entity-based license:

  • VMs protected by VSA with supported applications count to Advanced VMs

  • VMs protected by VSA with non-supported applications count to VM Only + Application Server

  • VMs not protected by VSA with supported applications count to Application Server

  • VMs not protected by VSA with non-supported applications count to Application Server

The following VM protection scenarios appear in the Subclient Peak License report under the indicated license types.
