Setting Space Check Warning Thresholds for the CommServe Database

Events are generated in the Event Viewer when the amount of free space available to the CommServe database falls below defined thresholds. You can define different thresholds for information, minor, major and critical event severity levels. These event severity levels have the following default values:

  • Information: Event created when the amount of free space reaches 30 percent.

  • Minor: Event created when the amount of free space reaches 20 percent.

  • Major: Event created when the amount of free space reaches 10 percent.

  • Critical: Event created when the amount of free space reaches 5 percent.

Note: The Disk Space Low alert is generated when the amount of free space falls below the value defined for the critical event. For information on creating a Disk Space Low alert, see Configuring Alerts for Low Disk Space.
