If a workflow is modified and re-deployed to a newer version, you can update the active jobs for the workflow to the new version.

The current running activity must exist with the same unique name in the updated workflow. This is required so that the workflow job can resume from the current activity.

Only update the version for active jobs when there are small changes to the workflow, such as changing the content of the emails or changing the expression for IF conditions.
Procedure

From the CommCell Console ribbon, on the Home tab, click the Job Controller icon.

Right-click the running workflow job that you want to update and click Update Version.
The workflow is updated to the latest version.
