Add the access node for Amazon RDS for SQL Server.
Before You Begin

The access node must be a Windows SQL EC2 client with internet access.
If you use the Access and Secret Key method for authentication, you can use an EC2 or an on-premises SQL client as the access node.

Port 1433 must be open on the access node so that it can connect to the Amazon RDS for SQL Server instance.

You need the following information:

Host name

User name and password
-
OS type

Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Servers.
The Servers page appears.

In the upper-right area of the page, click Add access node.
The Add gateway dialog box appears.

From the Select packages list, select SQL Server, and then click OK.

Click Install.
