Adding a File Server for CIFS Shares of Azure NetApp Files

Add the file server to access CIFS shares of Azure NetApp Files in the Azure subscription.

Before You Begin

Ensure that you have configured access node (file server) that has access to the Azure subscription. For more information see, Complete the File Servers Guided Setup for Azure NetApp Files.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.

    The Overview page appears.

  2. On the File servers tab, in the upper-right area of the page, click Add server.

    The Configure File Server page box appears.

  3. Select Azure NetApp Files and then click Next.

    The Azure NetApp Files page appears.

  4. In the Name box, enter a name for the server.

  5. In the Azure subscription box, select the subscription.

    To add new subscription, click + and then add the subscription details in the Add Azure subscription window.

  6. From the Plan list, select the server plan to use for the file server.

  7. Move the CIFS toggle to right.

  8. From the Access nodes list, select the access nodes to use for the server.

  9. To access the data using pre-defined user credentials, in the Impersonation account field, click Edit and then select the user credentials or add new credentials by clearing the Saved credentials check box.

  10. (Optional) Move the All CIFS Shares toggle to left to select specific CIFS shares for backup and restore.

  11. Click Save.
