Backing Up an Amazon RDS for SQL Server Instance On Demand

You can back up an Amazon RDS for SQL Server instance on demand.

The Commvault software automatically filters the Amazon RDS system databases and admin databases from the backup operation.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The Instances page appears.

2. In the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Back up.

   The Select backup level dialog box appears.

3. Under Backup level, select the type of backup, and then click OK.

   The Backup options dialog box appears.

4. Click OK.
