Commvault deploys multiple Amazon EBS gp3 volumes to contain the Commvault software.

For costs associated with EBS block-mode storage, see Amazon EBS pricing. If EBS snapshots are configured and retained, there will be additional costs. Also, Commvault uses Amazon EBS direct APIs to perform backup of Amazon EBS volumes (workload compute instances), which incurs costs as described in "Amazon EBS direct APIs for Snapshots" on the Amazon EBS pricing page.

Amazon EC2

Mandatory

Commvault deploys a single all-in-one Commvault Backup & Recovery Amazon EC2 instance, which incurs ongoing runtime costs while performing data management for your AWS and AWS-adjacent workloads.

For more information, see Amazon EC2 On-Demand Pricing. Commvault recommends reviewing Savings Plans pricing for options to reduce your Commvault Compute spend.
