Deactivating a Laptop or Computer

If you do not want to back up your laptop or computer, you can deactivate Edge Monitor on it.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Laptops.

   The Laptops page appears.

2. For the laptop or computer that you want to deactivate, in the Actions column, click the action button , and then click Deactivate.

   The Confirm deactivate dialog box appears.

3. Click Yes.

Result

• The laptop or computer is not backed up anymore. To enable backups, you must activate the laptop or computer again.

• The laptop software licence is released

• You can restore data from the deactivated laptop for 30 days.
