Deleting a Kubernetes Application Group

You can delete a Kubernetes application group if it is not the first application group that was created for the cluster. The first application group is the default application group, and, to ensure that your cluster is always protected, the default application group cannot be deleted.

To determine whether an application group is the default application group, see Namespace-Centric and Application-Centric Protection for Kubernetes.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Kubernetes.

    The Overview page appears.

  2. On the Application groups tab, in the row for the application group, click the action button action_button, and then select Delete.

    A confirmation message appears.

  3. Click Yes.

Results

The application group is deleted. Backup data that is under active retention is retained according to the retention settings and can be restored.
