Enabling Backups for Global Objects in Azure Database for PostgreSQL

You can back up global objects (such as roles) in a PostgreSQL database. To back up global objects, the Commvault software uses the pg_dumpall utility with -c, -g, --no-role-passwords, and -s options as per the requirement.

Before You Begin

The global objects dump is supported only for Indexing Version 2 clients. For PostgreSQL agents, the Indexing Version 2 is enabled by default for newly installed clients in Feature Release 11.30 and more recent versions.
