Restoring CIFS Shares of Azure NetApp Files

You can browse and restore backed-up data of the Azure NetApp Files subclient to the original location on the same CIFS share, to a new location on the same CIFS share, or to a different CIFS share, or to a standalone Windows client.

    The File servers page appears.

  2. Click the file server.

    The file server page appears.

  3. Under Protocols, click CIFS.

    The CIFS page appears.

  4. In the row for the subclient that you backed up, click the action button action_button, and then click Restore.

    The Backup Content page appears.

  5. Choose the content that you want to restore:

    • To restore the contents of the entire subclient, select the check box next to Name.

    • To restore particular files, expand the folder and then select the files.

  6. Click Restore.

The Restore options dialog box appears.

  7. From the Destination client list, select an access node to restore the data to.

  8. Specify the restore location:

    • To restore to the original backup location, select the Restore to original folder check box.

    • To restore to a new location, clear the Restore to original folder check box and then in the Destination Path box, type the full path to the destination folder.

  9. If the destination client does not have access to the UNC path provided in the Destination Path box, then move the Impersonate user toggle key to the right, and then enter the user name and password required to access the UNC path.

  10. Click Restore.
