You can restore a DB2 database to its current location (in place).
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database Overview tab appears.

On the Instances tab, click the instance.
The instance Overview tab appears.

In the upper-right corner of the Recovery points section, select the database from the list, and then click Restore.
The Backup content page appears.

Select the data to restore, and then click Restore.
The Restore options dialog box appears.

To restore the database, on the In place tab, select the Restore database checkbox.

To roll forward the logs as part of the restore operation, select the Roll forward checkbox.

From the Roll forward to type list, make the following selections:

To roll forward to the end of all the logs, click To end of the logs.

To roll forward to end the backup, click To end of backup.

To roll forward to a point in time, click Point in time, and then enter the point in time

Select the Alternate log path checkbox and enter log path.

Select the Overflow Directory checkbox and enter the workflow directory path.

To restore the logs, in the Advanced options section, select the Restore logs checkbox, and then specify the time period of the logs to restore.

Under Pre or Post options, do the following:

In the Pre recovery command box, enter the name or path of the process to run before the restore.

In the Post recovery command box, enter the name or path of the process to run after the restore.

If you want to initiate the restore as user, move the Run as User toggle button to right.
- In the User name box, enter a user name you want to run the restore with.

To send a notification email when the restore job completes, select the When the job completes, notify me via email.

Click Submit.
