Restoring a SQL Database In-Place

You can restore one or more SQL databases to the same path on the same client where the database was backed up.

Restore a Single Database to a Point in Time

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The Overview page appears.

  2. On the Databases tab, select the database that you want to restore.

    The database page appears.

  3. Under Recovery points, select a date that contains a backup.

    Dates that are highlighted indicate that a backup exists for that day.

    Tip

    You can also select a specific time of the backup for a point-in-time restore.

  4. Click the date, and then click Restore.

    The Restore options dialog box appears.

  5. Select In-place.

  6. Click Submit.

Restore One or More Database in an Instance

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The Overview page appears.

  2. On the Instances tab, in the row for the instance that has databases that you want to restore, click the action button action_button, and then click Restore.

    The Backup content page appears.

  3. Select the databases that you want to restore, and then click Restore.

    The Restore options dialog box appears.

  4. Select In-place.

  5. Click Submit.
