To collect SQL diagnostics information and to configure or deconfigure SQL server monitors, use the Diagnostic Monitors for SQL Server workflow.
Note
This workflow collects specific data needed for troubleshooting and should only be enabled when requested by Customer Support.
Procedure

Execute the Diagnostic Monitors for SQL Server workflow.
For information about executing workflows, see Running Workflows from the CommCell Console.

In the Monitor name box, select the SQL extended event that you want to monitor. The workflow supports the following SQL extended events:

TempDB Monitor: Collect the diagnostic data for tempdb growth.

Deadlock Monitor: Collect the diagnostic data for detected SQL deadlocked queries.

SP Stats Monitor:Collect the diagnostic data from SQL Server Stored Procedure system table cache specific to the selected databases.

In the Operation Type box, select the option to either configure or deconfigure the monitor.

If you select the SP Stats Monitor SQL extended event, complete the following:

From the SP Stats: Database list, select the database that you want to monitor.

From the SP Stats: Collection Type list, select the type of data that you want to collect. For example, High CPU Usage or Elapsed Time.

Click OK.
Important
After confirming the necessary data to troubleshoot an issue has been collected or the issue being investigated is resolved, ensure this workflow is executed again setting the Operation Type value to 'Deconfigure'.
