Configuring Air Gap Protect

You can configure the Air Gap Protect as a storage target in a CommCell.

Before You Begin

Review the Prerequisites For Air Gap Protect needed to configure Air Gap Protect.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Storage Resources.

2. Right-click Libraries, point to Add, click Cloud Storage Library, and then click Air Gap Protect.

   The Add Air Gap Protect dialog box appears.

3. In the General tab, enter the following information:

   1. In the Name box, specify name of the Air Gap Protect library.

   2. From the MediaAgent list, select the MediaAgent that must be used to access the library.

   3. From the License list, select the required license type.

      Note

      • Microsoft Azure storage and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage storage types are supported.

      • The License list is populated as per the Air Gap Protect licenses configured.

   4. From the Location list, select an Air Gap Protect location.

      Note

      Recommended: Choose a location nearest to the MediaAgent.

4. Click OK.

Result

The new storage library appears in the CommCell Browser in the following locations:

• Under Storage Resources > Libraries

• Under Storage Resources > MediaAgents > <MediaAgent>
