Identifying VSA Proxies

You can select a VSA proxy for the Virtual Server instance associated with your Amazon Web Services account, or with a subclient. Proxies specified for a subclient override the proxies specified for the Virtual Server instance.

Procedure

  1. Configure proxies for the Virtual Server instance:

    1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers > virtualization_client > Virtual Server.

    2. Right-click Amazon and then click Properties.

    3. On the Proxies tab, click Add.

    4. Select a proxy computer from the Exclude list and then click Include.

The Exclude list displays all computers that have the Virtual Server Agent installed.

    5. Click OK.

  2. Optional: Configure proxies for a subclient:

    1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers > virtualization_client > Virtual Server > Amazon > backup_set.

    2. Right-click a subclient and then click Properties.

    3. On the Advanced Options tab, click Add.

    4. Select a proxy computer from the Exclude list and then click Include.

    5. Click OK.
