Restoring IBM i User Profiles

You can recover user profiles.

Note

The Restore authority (RSTAUT) automatically runs for the restored user profiles.

Before You Begin

Create a subclient that has Security Objects in the content (Subclient Properties dialog box, Content tab, Subclient Content, Security Objects).
Perform a backup on the subclient.

From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > File System > defaultBackupSet.
Right-click the subclient and click Browse and Restore.
In the Browse and Restore Options dialog box, click View Content.
Select the data that you want to restore and click Recover All Selected.

The Restore Options dialog box appears.
On the General tab, select the source computer from the Destination Client list.
Click OK
