You can verify that you have configured the Web Console correctly by performing a search and restore operation.
Before You Begin
Run a backup job on the default subclient of the client that you have configured on the Web Console.
Procedure
-
Open a Web browser and type the Web Console URL in the address bar.
The URL must be in the following format:
http://<host name>:<port>/webconsole
For example: http://client.mydomain.com/webconsole
Note
-
If port 80 is used, then you do not need to specify the port number in the URL.
-
By default, the Web Console URL uses HTTP. You can also use HTTPS if you want to use secure access. To set up secure access, see Configuring Secured Access.
-
-
Type your login credentials, and then click Login to access the Web Console.
-
Click My Data.
-
On the SharePoint tab, click the computer name link for the appropriate user.
The Restore Files page appears. It contains a list of restored files. If you do not see the restored files, check the settings in Configuring the Web Console.
-
In the search text box, type a keyword.
-
From the search results, select the documents that you want to restore.
-
Click Download.
Depending on how the web browser is set up, either a .zip file is downloaded to the default download location on your local disk, or a dialog box appears.
-
If a dialog box appears, select Save File, and then click OK.
