Viewing Process Logs in the Process Manager

A log file contains time-stamped events useful to understand the activity of a process and to diagnose problems. For example, when a backup operation is started, an entry is made in the log file. The log file continues to record the events for the backup operation until the backup is completed or terminated. If the backup operation is abruptly terminated, the log file records this event and may provide troubleshooting information.

Procedure

  1. Click Start and point to All Programs.

  2. Click Commvault > Process Manager.

  3. Click the Processes tab.

  4. Click a process, and in the bottom of the dialog box, click View Logs.

The process logs are displayed in software_installation_directory/Log Files.
