Active-Active Replication with INFINIDAT

INFINIDAT active-active replication provides zero recovery point objective (RPO) and zero recovery time objective (RTO). The data of replicated volumes can be accessed by the host from both peers of the replication at the same time.

The snapshot backup operation creates snapshots on both arrays of the active-active replication. The snapshot on the local array and the snapshot on the remote array use the same storage policy snapshot copy and have the same retention that is defined at storage policy copy level.

For the mount, backup copy, or the restore operation, only one snapshot is mapped. The Commvault software chooses the snapshot based on the array access node and on the proxy computer used for mount operations.

Considerations

• You cannot run the snapshot revert operation in active-active replication.

• The subclient content cannot be a mix of active-active volumes and non-active-active volumes.
