Backend Storage Arrays for the Dell EMC VPLEX Array

With the Commvault software, you can use the following storage arrays as the backend storage array for the Dell EMC VPLEX storage array.

Depending on the backend array, you can create snapshots of local virtual volumes, distributed virtual volumes, or both.

  • Local mode: You can create snapshots only of local virtual volumes.

  • MetroCluster mode: You can create snapshots of local virtual volumes and of distributed virtual volumes.
