Changing the Global Administrator Account That Performs Backups for Teams

You can change the account that is used to back up a Teams app. After you change the account, you reauthorize the app for the account. You do not need to create a new Teams app.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.

    The Office 365 apps page appears.

  2. In the Name column, click the Teams app.

    The app page appears.

  3. On the Configuration tab, in the General section, click Edit.

    The Edit Global Administrator dialog box appears.

  4. In the Global Administrator box, enter the email of the account that you want to use to back up the Teams app.

  5. In the Password and Confirm password boxes, enter the password for the account.

  6. Click Save.

  7. On the Configuration tab, in the Teams connection settings section, click the action button action_button, and then click Acquire token.

    The Acquire token dialog box appears.

  8. In the Application secret box, enter the key value.

  9. Beside Token status, click Acquire token.

    The Acquire token dialog box appears.

  10. Click Proceed.

    You are redirected to a Microsoft page to confirm the account that you are authorizing.

  11. On the Microsoft page, select the account that you are authorizing.

    The Acquire token dialog box appears. Beside Token status, a Token acquired message appears.

  12. Click Save.
