Configuring Access to Azure Resources

To protect Azure resources with the Commvault software, you need an Azure app registration. And, to the app, you need to assign the roles and permissions that are required for Commvault to access the resources.

Procedure

1. Create an Azure app registration, unless you already have an Azure app registration that you use for Commvault.

2. Assign the role or roles that meet your business requirements:

   • For least privilege access, use a custom role.

   • Otherwise, assign Azure built-in roles.
