Configuring Array Access Nodes for a Storage Array

You can configure MediaAgents as array access nodes to perform supported operations on the storage array.

Note

Ensure that the MediaAgent has access to the array as an access node.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, click Manage > Infrastructure.

    The Infrastructure page appears.

  2. Click Arrays.

  3. On the Arrays page, in the Name column, click the storage array.

    The Overview page of the array appears.

  4. On the Configuration tab, in the Array access nodes tile, click Edit Edit_button.

    The Edit array access nodes dialog box appears.

  5. From the Available MediaAgents list, do one of the following:

    • To add an array access nodes, select one or more MediaAgents from the list, and then click OK.

    • To add all of the MediaAgents as array access nodes, click SELECT ALL.

  6. To change the precedence of the array access nodes, select a MediaAgent and drag it upwards or downwards as required.

    Note

    MediaAgents that are higher in the list perform operations on the storage array first.

  7. If you do not want an array access node to perform the pruning operation on the storage array, move the Pruning toggle key to the left. For more information, see Array Access Nodes Properties.

  8. Click SUBMIT.
