Configuring the Cisco HyperFlex Storage Array Using Arrays Page

To use IntelliSnap with Cisco HyperFlex storage array, add the array in the Arrays page.

Before You Begin

  1. To retrieve the IP address and the UUID of the Cisco HyperFlex (HX) cluster, from webCLI command line on Cisco HX connect, type the following command:

    hxcli cluster info
  2. Copy the Data IP address and the UUID appear.

Start the Configuration Wizard

  1. From the navigation pane, click Manage > Infrastructure.

    The Infrastructure page appears.

  2. Click Arrays.

  3. On the Arrays page, click Add.

    The General page of the Add Snap Array configuration wizard appears.

General

  1. From the Snap vendor list, select Cisco HyperFlex.

  2. In the Array name box, enter management IP of the Cisco HyperFlex array.

  3. In the Description box, enter the description for the array.

  4. For credentials, do one of the following:

    • To use the saved credentials, move the Use saved credentials toggle key to the right, and then select credentials from the Saved credentials list.

    • To add new credentials, enter the credentials of a user who has the administrator or root privilege to access the array in User name and Password boxes.

  5. Click Next.

    The Array Access Nodes page of the configuration wizard appears.

Array Access Nodes

  1. From the Available MediaAgents list, select one or more access nodes and then click OK.

    • To select all the available MediaAgents as access nodes, click SELECT ALL.
  2. To disable pruning, move the Pruning toggle button of the respective access node to the left.

  3. To rearrange the selected access nodes, drag them upwards or downwards as required.

  4. Click NEXT.

    The Snap Configurations page of the configuration wizard appears.

Snap Configurations

  1. To enable diagnostic logging, move the Enable Diagnostic Logging toggole key to the right.

  2. In the Array Host Aliases box, type the UUID data or IP address of the Cisco HX cluster.

  3. Click SUBMIT.
