Configuring Connectivity to Remote Web Server and Workflow Engine Server

You can connect a remote web server and/or a Workflow Engine server to the CommServe computer to ensure that the ODBC connection to the CommServe is established from these clients.

Before You Begin

Enable CommServe LiveSync.

Procedure

  1. After enabling CommServe LiveSync, an automatic server group called CS LiveSync AutoTPPM clients is created with web server and workflow engine servers. Connectivity to the computers in the CS LiveSync AutoTPPM clients server group will be configured automatically.

  2. If a new web server or workflow engine server is added to the CommCell, then the server will be automatically added to this CS LiveSync AutoTPPM clients server group and the connectivity to the server will be configured.

  3. If you want to manually configure or remove the connectivity for servers, do the following:

    1. Add a new rule to the server group association to include or exclude a server that can configure or remove servers.

    2. Change the server group association to manual and then manually add or remove servers from the server group. However, once you change the server group association to manual, it will no longer automatically detect and configure connectivity for any new web server or workflow engine server.
