Configuring Deployment of the VMware Image in an Offline CommCell Environment

You can download a VMware image file (.OVA package) to deploy a VMware Linux access node from the Command Center in an offline environment.

Procedure

  1. Download the Access Node and MediaAgent OVA file for your appropriate Commvault release.

  2. Save the Access Node and MediaAgent OVA file on the primary access node as defined for the hypervisor.

  3. On the primary access node, configure the additional setting FrelOvaLocation and enter the location of the Access Node and MediaAgent file in the Value box.

    For example, enter C:\OVA\VMWare_v1.ova

  4. After configuring the additional setting, complete the following deployment procedure: Deploying a Linux Access Node for VMware.
