Editing a Setting for CommCell Entities

You can edit an additional setting created for CommCell entities, for example, you can add a new entity, delete an entity, or modify the value of the setting for an entity.

Before You Begin

Verify that your CommCell user account has following permissions:

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Manage > System.

  2. Click the Settings tile.

    The Settings page appears.

  3. On the Entity tab, do any of the following:

Add an entity to the setting

  1. Click the entity setting.

    The edit dialog box for the entity setting appears.

  2. From the Entity list, select the servers and server groups to add the setting to.

  3. In the Value box, enter a valid value for the setting.

  4. In the Enter the comment box, enter your comments.

  5. Click Save.

Delete an entity from the setting

  1. Expand the entity setting.

  2. In the row for the entity that you want to delete from the entities list, click the delete button Editing a Setting for CommCell Entities.

Modify the value for an entity

  1. Expand the entity setting.

  2. In the row for the entity that you want to modify, click the edit button edit button solid blue pencil.

  3. In the Value box, modify the value.

  4. In the Comment box, update the comments.

  5. Click the check mark button blue check mark button.
