To set up the Silk storage array, review system requirements, and then add the array in the Commvault software. Then you can modify the snapshot properties.
Procedure

Verify that your environment meets the Systems Requirements for Silk storage array.

Configure the array in the array software before configuring the array on the Commvault software. See Configuring the Silk storage array on the array software.

On Commvault software, add and configure the Silk storage array.
The Silk storage array is now ready to operate.

Choose one of the supported agents for the Silk storage array.

When you run the first snapshot backup operation, a retention policy is created. The Commvault software creates the retention policy in the Silk storage array, named as CV__CommvaultIntelliSnap, and then sets this retention policy to retain snapshots as long as possible. Do not change this retention policy.
