To verify that Active Directory is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.
Back Up Active Directory

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Active Directory.
The Active Directory page appears.

In the row for the app, click the action button , and then click Back up.
The Backup options dialog box appears.

For Backup options, select the backup type.

To receive an Email when the backup operation completes, select the Notify user on job completion check box.

Click Submit.
Restore Active Directory

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Active Directory.
The Active Directory page appears.

In the row for the app, click the action button , and then click Restore.
The backup content page appears.

In the upper-left area of the page, from the default list, select an instance to view the objects.

Select an object.

Click Restore.
The Restore options dialog box appears.

To use the advanced restore options and restore only specific attributes, move the Restore only specific attributes toggle key to the right.

Enter the name of the attribute to restore, and then click Add.

Click Submit.
