Perform a Test Backup and Restore of the DB2 Instance

To verify that the DB2 instance is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview tab appears.

2. On the Instances tab, in the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Backup.

   The Backup dialog box appears.

3. Select a subclient to back up, and then click Select.

4. The Backup options dialog box opens.

5. Click Submit.

Restore the Instance

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

   The database Overview tab appears.

2. On the Instances tab, in the row for the instance, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Restore tab appears.

3. Select the database to restore and click Select content.

   The Backup content page appears.

4. Select the content(s) and click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

5. Perform In place or Out of place restore as per requirement.

6. Click Submit.
