When you configure a recovery target for Azure Stack HCI , provide Azure Stack HCI specific values for the destination site.

Select vendor: Select Microsoft Hyper-V.
Azure Stack HCI is a hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) cluster solution built on their Hyper-V technology. At this time, to add an Azure Stack HCI hypervisor to the Command Center, you must select Hyper-V as the vendor.

Application type: Select the type of operations that use this recovery target.

Regular: To use this recovery target for live mount operations or virtual lab operations, select this option.

Replication: To use this recovery target as a destination site for replication jobs, select this option.

General Options

Recovery target name: Enter a descriptive name for the destination (for example, DR site 1).

Destination hypervisor: Select an Azure Stack HCI hypervisor for the destination VMs.
Note
Static IP addresses from a source VM are not replicated to the destination VM.

Access node: Select a VSA proxy to perform operations for the recovery target.

Security: To select the users and user groups who have access to the destination, select them from the list.

Default restore location: To restore to a location other than the default folder, clear this option and then, for Destination folder, browse to select a location.
You can enter the network path for an SMB (Server Message Block Protocol) share as the destination folder, provided that the destination SMB share meets the requirements described in Configuring Backups for Virtual Machines Hosted on SMB. You cannot select an SMB share by browsing.

VM display name: Select Prefix or Suffix, and then enter a string to append to source VMs to create the display name for each destination VM.

Register virtual machine with failover cluster: To register the replicated VMs with the failover cluster, select this option.
