Restoring One or More MySQL Databases

You can browse and restore backed up data for an entire instance or for individual databases.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.

    The database Overview tab appears.

  2. In the Instances tab, from the Actions row of the instance you want to restore, select Restore.

    Alternatively, click the instance you want to restore, and then click Restore from the Recovery points tile.

    The Backup content page appears.

  3. Restore all the databases or individual databases:

    • To restore all the databases, select the Database name check box, and then click Restore.

    • To restore individual databases, select the check boxes for the databases that you want to restore, and then click Restore.

    The Restore options dialog box appears.

  4. You can perform the following two types of restores:

  • Full instance IntelliSnap restore operation is performed even if you select partial databases to restore.

  • To restore databases that were backed up using XtraBackup utility, the staging location must have free space with size equal to the largest database on the server.

  • During an incremental restore browse operation, you can only see the new databases and logs. Existing databases cannot be seen.
