Use this dialog box to either run a backup job immediately or schedule it to run later.
Select Backup Type
Full
Specifies the job as a full backup. Full backup operations back up all data for the selected subclients.
-
Incremental
Specifies the job as an incremental backup. An incremental backup job backs up either new data or data that has changed since the last backup.
-
Synthetic Full
Specifies the job as a synthetic full backup. A synthetic full backup job consolidates data from the latest full backup or from the synthetic full backup together with any subsequent incremental backups into one archive file, instead of reading and backing up data directly from the client computer.
-
Run Incremental Backup
Select to run an incremental backup job either immediately before a synthetic full backup or immediately after a successful synthetic full backup.
-
Before Synthetic Full: Select to run an incremental backup job immediately before a synthetic full backup. This ensures that any new or recently changed data is included in the synthetic full backup.
-
After Synthetic Full: Select to run an incremental backup job immediately after a successful synthetic full backup. This ensures that any new or recently changed data since the backup that occurred prior to the synthetic full, but was not included in the synthetic full, is backed up by the incremental.
