You can configure an HTTP proxy for a client or client group.
Procedure
-
From the CommCell Browser, right-click a client computer or client group, and then click Properties.
The properties dialog box appears.
-
Click Network.
The network properties dialog box appears.
-
On the HTTP Proxy Settings tab, select Use HTTP Proxy Server.
-
Enter the proxy server name and proxy port.
-
To enter a domain or website that does not require this HTTP proxy, enter the address in the Proxy Bypass List field, and then click Add.
Note
The domain or website address must meet the following requirements:
-
Each entry can only include the following characters: the letters a through z, the numbers 0 through 9, a period (.), and a dash (-).
-
The following leading or trailing characters are invalid: period (.), dash (-), and comma (,).
-
Leading http:// or https:// is allowed.
-
The string "" is allowed as a bypass list entry, as it represents bypassing proxy server for local addresses.
For example:
-
You can enter a hostname such as rds.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com
-
You can enter a domain such as amazonaws.com to bypass HTTP proxy for URLs containing hostnames such as amazonaws.com, amazonaws.com:80, and www.amazonaws.com. However, this will not bypass URLs that are spelled incorrectly, such as www.amazonavs.com and amazonaws.com.org.
-
-
To specify authentication options, select Use authentication and then either select an existing credential from the list, or perform the following steps to create a new credential:
-
Click Create New.
The Create user credential dialog box appears.
-
Enter details for the new credential.
-
Click OK.
-
-
To use the HTTP proxy with network topologies, select Use with network topologies. If this option is selected, the network daemon service uses this HTTP proxy for the outgoing connections that are set up in the network topology for the server group.
-
Click OK.
