Disabling Password Management from the Web Console

By default, CommCell users can change their login password from the User Preferences window in the Web Console.

You can prevent the users from changing their passwords by hiding the password management options in the User Preferences window of the Web Console.

Procedure

To hide the password management options in the Web Console, complete the following steps.

1. On the CommServe computer, add the disableuserpasswordmanagement additional setting with the value True:

   Property	Value
   Name	disableuserpasswordmanagement
   Category	CommServDB.GxGlobalParam
   Type	Boolean
   Value	True - to hide the password management options. False - to display the password management options.

2. Restart the Tomcat services on the Web Console computer.
